Merry Christmas to you too!
But will this work on non-Snow Leopard users? I won't be updating my mother's Mac anytime soon.

This bundle won't. There were too many changes between Leopard and Snow Leopard. But a version for Leopard is on its way :)

It would be interesting to see the performance from OS X Snow Leopard on Ultra-High settings..

There is no use to compare performances with the current code design. There are too many lock contention.

That means that the Binary is unstable/freezes a lot?

That only means that the code design of the core engine can be much improved for better performances, and a comparison with other OSes or games will reveal nothing and might be misinterpreted.
But this is something that we're working about.

Does the Mac OS X side of TA3D feature the dodgy pathfinder featured in 0.6.0 Beta 2 of the Windows branch?

I think the newest version is linux one.
And OSX one willn't later than windows. Due to make a windows bin is more diffcult than them.

All versions (Windows, OSX, linux...) have the same features at the same revision, except for some specific options (like texture compression, which is completely disabled on OS X).
The current latest revision is r2253, so with the r2251 you should have all the latest features in Ta3d :) (see http://trac.ta3d.org/timeline)

What have I done to send TA3D fireballing to the trash bin this time? :P

It seems it couldn't load the FTGL library. Now I am not an OS X expert so I can't say more.

...

Milipili to the rescue?
(or is there a more recent OSX 10.5 binary in some random location I don't know of?)

I am sorry I am currently very far from my computer :) But when I come back, I will check this and make a new binary with the latest changes.

Awesome, thanks! =D
It seems like I'm getting somewhat pushed to upgrade to 10.6 of OSX but the cost of the installer disks here are big and I have NO CLUE about how it's gonna end up. My mother will freak if something gets seriously changed.

From the user interface, 10.6 is (nearly) exactly like 10.5. However the core engine has been deeply modified so you may find some specific software that does not work very well (32bits -> 64bits + some API changes). However, it should be fixed by now. The upgrade from 10.5 to 10.6 works smoothly, as long as you don't have any specific kernel extensions. In this case the upgrade will take the unknown kernel extensions and will provide compatibility. But you may encounter some unwanted behavior and strange slowness. The best thing to do with any version of Mac OS is to make a proper re-install, and to ask it to take back the user settings (via time-machine or from another partition/disk).
Obviously, it would better if you try by your-selves.
I advise you to use another disk/partition, in order to come back to 10.5 if you have any problem.

Okay, I'm sticking with 10.5. I want Boot Camp 3 but there's no way Im gonna be able to manipulate everything around for format and install, or to get an extra hard drive.

You should not have any problem. I'm a bit paranoid with my installs, and It is really easy to install with an external drive (like an USB external storage).

My main issue is not so much whether I may have backup issues but the fact that I don't have the Boot Camp 3.0 drivers. There's no way I'm going to be able to buy Snow Leopard anytime soon and I no of no illegal methods besides torrents which are unreliable at the best of times.
By the way, ever had a strange eerie and ear-deafening sound come out of your Mac ever millipilli? I got it just today as I was logging on to Windows. When I logged on, it stopped.

I don't really understand the problem, if any
