the future of RTS

Post by zuzuf » Tue Jun 09, 2009 11:25 pm

I was watching the E3 presentation of supcom2 when it made me think about some video I had seen on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYY-g6ionzM

I don't think what will make future good RTS will be better graphics but probably better AIs and better human interfaces (what some voice command and eyes-guided stuffs  ?)

Yeah, it seems so... I`ve read that mouses will become useless very soon, it will be replaced with finger-poiter devideces or something other. 3D screens will allow to have 3D interface with more functionality... It`s an interesting question, what will the RTS be look like in a future.

But in 5-10 yers I doubt that something really changes in RTS field :P

Actually TA3D would get more popular and the boss would play it as well so he would know what is going on :D

Well, after 10 years, let's play a 10000*10000 maps in TA3D, that you are boss, you message 1000 AI for what to do, that your enemy do same things, And target is TA all your enemy. /:^]
