0.5.0 Test 3 Win32, Crashing at Skirmish, at loading screen

its always crashing right after the unit loading at progress bar

equal what setting i do at graphic
with/without shadows, water, window fullsceen
resolutions: 800x600 1024x768 1680x1050 all at 32 / 16 bit

system:
AMD XP 2000+
1 GB of Ram

1. Try to reduce quality of water and try to set the lowest settings.

2. Delete cache dir and try to run again.

I suppose, this should help. If bug stays - send log.txt to Zuzuf or me by mail.

deactivate texture cache and try again (I might not do anything at all, I have a 7600 too and it works).

I've added a backtrace mecanism in current SVN, with next test release, you should have a backtrace.txt file that'll tell us where exactly it crashes.

unfortunately mingw32 doesn't implement the backtrace function :cry: , so it's only available on Linux ...

i tryed all possibilitys

still everytime a crash on startup, at the same stage of loading

did you try with only totala1.hpi and totala2.hpi (no *.ccx, *.gp3, *.ufo, ...) ?

Well, I`ve reinstall my Windows XP SP3 and now ta3d looks much more stable.

But problems with texture artifacts are still the same, even after I`ve installed the latest ATI drivers and tryed options with texture compression and without it
