For the new version, r868, exactly how much is the performance boost?
Are the nanolathe streams fixed? They do not look good, they are just circles in the last version.
Also, if i were to edit the nanolathe stream, what exactly should i edit (which file in which folder)

thanks!

Nanolathe particles are just sprites, just edit gfx/part.tga to change them.

Regarding performance, I cannot really tell : it'll run faster (mainly under heavy load) but it also depends on your computer. I am going to make new packages (built from r2901 which brings several improvements to multiplayer, performance and memory usage), they'll be ready soon.

Also be warned that to make square particles you should edit sprites to sqares with 2 times reduced sides so you`ll get square particle in two times bigger square canvas.
That should be done because of the blending effect that makes square particles look like circles.
