ubuntu installation command

Post by tekkenfreak3 » Mon Aug 17, 2009 3:39 pm

what would be the name of this in the repositories? I've tried

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install ta3d
several times and none of them worked

I COULD compile from source, but it said that they were available and I'm lazy ;)

did you add TA3D's stable repository ? TA3D is not in Ubuntu official repository, we have our own :).
just add the following lines to your sources.list :

Code: Select all

# for stable packages
deb http://www.ta3d.org/apt stable main
# uncomment for testing packages
# deb http://www.ta3d.org/apt testing main
then run "apt-get update" and "apt-get install ta3d" should work (it'll install TA3D 0.5.4). If you look for packages in our repository you'll also find a tademo package which contains resources files from TA demo and a few extra stuffs.

If you want to try the 0.6 branch you'll have to build it from source, there is currently no package.
