I've made a small change to 3DMEditor : the rotation is controlled with a simple arcball implementation (you don't grab the part of the model under the cursor any more, it was too confusing).
You'll find the new package here:

It's built against Qt 4.6.1 (I had problems building it with Qt 4.7 ...)

Yeah, arcball is much more convinent way of camera positioning )
