I know a little bit about frag/vert code, but is there any tutorials running around?
Are there?
If not, maybe we can make this thread into a sort of tutorial, where i can save in OpenOffice works alternative and upload, provide link.
Lol i know its a serious deja vu because people post random projects and ask for help....

But if we pass on knowledge, more people can help mod/become coders, and thus can help with development, further increasing feedback, bug reporting, and quicken release dates due to stuff being created faster by more people.

Tutorials needed (or questioning existence, feel free to correct me if im wrong):

Looking for "GLSL tutorial" with Google gave me an interesting link:

The document on FBI tags is not complete, if you are interested in working on it you can find the source in the SVN repository (in LaTeX).

I can list some here.....


umm, these are the ones that i most often see


buildcostenergy - how much energy a unit takes
buildcostmetal - how much metal a unit takes (t1 - ~110-200, t2, ~200-100, t3[krogoth level], ~4500---..... infinite level, but costs a lot)
buildtime - how long a unit takes to get completed
builddistance - how much distance a unit has to build structures
workertime - how powerful a units nanolathe/reclaim is
unitname - the units name. each file must be the same as this
objectname - the object file of the unit (3do file) this must be the same, otherwise ta will crash
designation - unimportant. you could put oagjsndijonhgirguadgfs in that place and nothing would change
name - the name that shows up in-game
weapon1 - primary weapon
weapon2 - secondary
weapon3 - backup
candgun - can this unit activate it's second weapon via using dgun?
cancloak - can the unit cloak?
cloakcostmoving - how much energy cloaking requires
mincloakdistance - cloaking distance
cloakcost - how much energy it takes for a unit to be cloaked while stationary
healtime - how long does a unit take to heal (commanders time ~40)
builder - is a unit a construction?
zbuffer - idk
threed - idk
canreclaim - can the unit reclaim
canguard - can the unit guard
canpatrol - can the unit patrol?

as always, i gtg in a bit, also, i cannot think of any more atm.....
