Packages ...

Post by zuzuf » Sun Oct 11, 2009 3:19 pm

Since packaging takes time, and making nice packages for several platforms is even more time consumming (because you usually don't have all those platforms installed) I am wondering if some of you would like to help with it. We need at least someone to make windows packages (since I don't use windows it's not very easy for me to maintain a working build environement, even in a virtual machine, that's why there wasn't any package last week ...). It doesn't have to be very sophisticated packages for alpha/beta releases, a simple archive is ok so it's only a matter of building the code. For stable releases having nice OS integrated packages is more important, so having someone handling it for each supported platform would be great :).

Yuni will have its own server (2xquad - 8Go ram) for daily snapshots and regression tests next month. It will included several virtual machines (For sure Linux/Win/FreeBSD/SunOS - 32/64). We can share it.
