No you don't have to change anything since the application must be launched from a standard desktop environment.
It is possible that I forgot to include in the Bundle this library. I will checkout as soon as possible.

You can compile libyuni with Visual Studio (v8 and v9) but Ta3d does not compile with any version of Visual Studio yet. Please use mingw instead.

You just have to put the app where you want, like any other os x app. Put all .hpi and .ccx files into the ~/Library/Application Support/ta3d folder (it should be already created since you've already launched it) And it should work. What is libyuni ?

I am one of the main coders of Yuni, and we have the honor to be used by TA3D, and probably will be even more in the future.

For this, a cgi or php/ruby/javascript web site will be good enough, and much lighter (you may see CGI::Irc). It would remove a dependency for playing to ta3d. Java is not installed by default except on OS X and it could be annoying for some player to have to install several softwares. Perhaps a cus...

A mailing list is already available about issues specific to libyuni, and its developers rarely read this forum. Perhaps would you] prefer a forum (like for ta3d) to report issues or to request some help about this library ?

i figured out the issue - i tend to checkout svn via git-svn and it didn't fetch that library somehow (if it's an external svn source - that might be the reason) Yes, as said before, you need to fetch externals as well. The external link will disappear as soon as a stable version of Yuni is availab...

If you're using the svn repository, you have to checkout // update your working copy with externals. Yuni is a cross-platform framework (not part of Ta3d), still in development.

The build of lua should be given to a target to cmake, like any other static library. Then you could use it with qmake if you like.

From what I encoutered and tested myself: We had some problem with the testsuite in libyuni for example (parsing issue). `make test` only works with cmake >=2.6.3. At work, a colleague had a problem with FindGettext. A lot of issues on OS X with static libraries and bundle creation (an issue remains...

Issues with CMake, 2.6.4 recommended

There are a lot of issues with CMake 2.6.2 (the current version on Ubuntu for example), mainly fixed in 2.6.3, but I would recommend the 2.6.4.
Nothing really important but if you encounter any issue or strange behavior with CMake, please consider upgrading.

Sorry but tnt.cpp makes mingw 3.x produce an internal error... I don't know why but I imagine that we should upgrade to mingw 4.x...

I've made several optimizations this week-end. I've earn 20FPS on my MacBookPro (40->64FPS), and reduced the CPU usage to 3.5% instead of 40% when navigating in the menus. It seems it is better on Windows too but I don't have any way to quantify it.

Technically I don't see any problems. But it is more a question for zuzuf (project direction). Even if I don't really see the interest in LuaAI, what does it do exactly, and why it would solve a problem in TA3D (what problem first ?). Splash screen

As requested, Ta3D will display a window with a splash screen at startup, to make the user wait while precaching data.
It will be effective as soon as I commit my changes.

However, could someone provide me a nice background ? (which would far better than mine)

I've got this on OS X :

There is obviously a bug with the utf8 charset. As I am not able to have a working Windows or Linux, could someone tell me if there is the same issue on other platforms ?
