Eventual graphical Modernization
I was thinking about it a lot and this is probably lowest priority, waaayyy at the bottom actually, but still a thought. I'm biased as I obviously deal with 3D art and graphics in general but TA3D is extremely out of date compared to other modern games. I know it's a complex subject though, so I won...

Re: Current beta packages
I hope you are still continuing this Zuzuf. I think you'll find that a lot more people will be interested to help with the project if you show you are an active lead role and doing a lot of work. People tend to follow projects rather than lead them. Maybe go to TAU and recruit aswell?

You could tell to use Spring, where there is a larger team working on the engine rather than one person. Also, models do have shading and shadows, your computer probably just can't handle them

Re: Waterline (screenshot included FINALLY!)
Don't increase the water level. Not only would this place a menace on OTA balance but will also be a really bad work around for a problem. My suggestion/ new map format. Even if it is a case of a folder with hightmap, texture and the file with all of the map elements (water level, wind strength, tid...

Linux only? I dont have too much of an issue with that as I have a linux partition, but I think that will cut your audience by like 90%. No pressure, go as fast as you like. And flashbang, the weakest computer in the studio is old laptop with about 64mb ram. :P The highest spec computers are ok, bes...

Hey, haven't been around in a while, I went on a skiing holiday which took up a good month, but not only that, I build a half decent portfolio of my work and managed to land myself a paid placement for 6 months at a place in/near Oxford called DR Studios. I make the tree model from a tree generator found here; http://www.frecle.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=780&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30 but then I export it from there, do some modelling tweaks in wings3d (easier than max for this). things like putting the base of the trunk slightly underground so...
