You all said this last time, that there was a script. Obviously either nothing was done or it didn't work. There si no reason websvn should be making so many cache files. I would suggest disabling the creation and downloading of zip files out of svn folders in the config, checking for updates, and g...

I tried looking at bug trackers for AFLobby and NTai on darkstars a while back, and came upon mainly mantis and Trac. Trac looked vastly superior if not for its suprior aesthetics so I chose Trac and attempted to install it. Suffice to say my attempt was an utter failure. So I installed mantis at ht...

What you have at the moment uses mysql, and I would have thought it would be more logical to use a flat file based storage considering the cost of sql queries. Also that way you could remove getserverlist.php completely. Also it would reduce the load on the server greatly, as you could return all th...

This isn't really suitable because unless the user has extracted the maps out into the maps folder the lobby isn't going to be able to tell what map is being played. As for mods, the same thing applies. What would be useful is if I could run ta3d using a command line parameter that would make it pri...

This website and spring website development
As it is I have a new website for the spring community. All fully functioning etc. I can also see that Im seeing roadblocks in getting their due to community resistance. Now I see this site and its alright but it has its flaws, so I would like to entertain the possibility of cloning the new spring s...

perhaps it is similar to the spring bug that looks a little related? In spring under windows XP if you alt tab while it's loading you end up with distorted graphics, garbled trees, windows logos in the sky, title bars over units, webpages on the terrain etc... Doesn't affect Vista as they changed th...

So basically the something along the lines of a VECTOR POINTF::distance2D(POINTF p) method?? Is it just me or do is there somewhat of a redundancy here? With regards to comments it may be better to use the javadoc/doxygen style notation e.g.:
Any thoughts on this?
Code: Select all

* random function

* @param x A random x variable
* @param y A random y variable
*
* @return a bannana variable

There's a monobook theme for dokuwiki. If you use ti I have some .htaccess files that'll add expiration headers to the necessary files and speed things up a little more. You can also do several things to speed it up further, such as gzip compression of pages, and not replacing page names with their ...

I would strongly reccomend against using media wiki, you're only letting yourself in for a world of pain regarding pages that laod at a snails pace. That and my host is a shared environment, and mediawiki is particularly cpu intensive. If it becomes popular then it may end up in a recycle bin somewh...

Sometimes a new feature requires structural changes which make other features easier to implement. For example, multiple engine support in AFLobby forced me to do a lot of refactoring which sped up the entire program and improved stability. I have a lot of prettier cleaner code and interfaces now too.

As far as I can tell OTA has no concept of back facing faces. Polygons arent culled if they're facing the opposite direction. As a result this is reflected in 3do model as far as I can tell. OTA must double draw every face in both directions. I know spring does this for 3do models, but not for s3o m...

The darkstars bandwidth tragedy
It seems that I, you, blackliger, his friends, my friends, several svn repos, etc have all collectively used 5.5GB worth of bandwidth since december began. Of this 5GB was taken up by the ta3d.darkstars.co.uk domain <_<. Now if you look at our plan we still have 5560GB of unused bandwidth left befor...
